 This
is rare and hard to find President Truman official White House mechanical
pencil that I obtained directly from the personal collection of a former
White House staffer. Mechanical pencils were considered pretty high tech for
the day. This is a fairly large mechanical pencil a good 5 3/4" long and
fairly thick. It bears the inscription. "From Harry S. Truman The White
House Washington D. C." However what makes this pencil trully special
is their is a black and white photo of President Truman sitting at his desk
in The Oval Office at the top of this mecanical pencil. This item is in
excellent condition with only slight yellowing on the white part in one spot
which appears on most every example of this rarity. |
